Matthew's school had a special event this evening, sponsored by the entire First Grade staff. They gave us ideas for and encouragement to do reading activities with our students this summer. Matthew is reading at a 3rd grade level or above, and I'm very interested in keeping him challenged and learning over the summer. I'd like to make lots of trips to the library and do lots of math activities, too.
This photo is of Matthew with his homeroom teacher, Mrs. Crooker. Her portion of tonight's activities was a time/money activity center. Matthew just loves Mrs. Crooker-- we're so grateful for her!
