Therapy

Not much to report today. Colson did begin outpatient therapy at Healthsouth Rehab Hospital today. We'll be going for two 30-minute sessions each week. His therapist Angie is going to work with him (and us) to work on his verbal skills. It looks like we'll need to start learning sign language to foster our communication with him. In years past I've been hesitant to bother with sign language (because Matthew has always been so verbal and didn't need it), but with Colson, we really need to communicate with him better. We all frequently get frustrated when we don't understand each other. His grunting and pointing for what he wants can only accomplish so much. So hopefully the strides we make in therapy will be a big help for everyone.
