Surviving and Celebrating

Due to fatigue, I slept solidly all the way through the night, which never happens. I was still tired, but functioning well enough for the rest of the day. Jonathan's cold is still here, kicking in strong enough for him to cancel a Gemini flight he had planned today. He did get out of the house at one point, taking Matthew to the Vero Beach Book Festival, but that was about it. I was thankful for that time-- my lack of energy wasn't making me the best mom today!

We were grateful when the day ended and we could just hang out in bed. We watched Inside Man, checked out from the local library. We had to pause it several times, as Jonathan's phone was ringing off the hook. Our Wake Forest football team is having their best season ever, and we were beating Florida State for the first time in many decades. Jonathan was thrilled when the Deacons won, running out into the street to sing the fight song. He also posted our WFU flag on the front porch, which our neighbors the Shavers (who are FSU fans) found to be very amusing. Go DEACS!
