Matthew had a fun afternoon-- playdate at the Schultz's house, then he went back to Awana tonight. He got his first lesson finished, which basically was memorizing John 3:16. It was really neat working with him on it this week in preparation for class. To be teaching someone one of Christianity's foundational verses is quite something. One day it'll be "old hat" to him, but I had the honor to be in his life as he learned it for the first time...
