Lovely Sunday

We went to the First Church of God this morning for church. It's right near our house-- a fairly large facility that appears to have alot going on. Matthew absolutely loved his kid's worship class; they really have a huge production for the kids there. I'm not 100% sold on the adult worship service, but if it comes down to taking care of Matthew's needs, I'd be willing to go there. We'll church hop around some more and see what we can find.

Our 0-2 Carolina Panthers beat the Buccaneers with a last minute field goal-- yea! We might still have a shot at the playoffs after all!

After Sunday naptime we worked on hanging pictures in the den. This proved to be quite stressful with the boys around us, but we got alot done. The house is slooooowly starting to come together!

Later in the day I left Jonathan at home to study his piloting material, and the rest of us went across the street to the Shaver's house to play. Matthew had a ball playing with all the neighborhood kids and an air rocket that they were launching. As seen in the photo, he also enjoyed zooming up and down our little sandy street on his bike with Daniel and Timothy Shaver as well. Colson scooted around on the ground so much (because he's still not walking or crawling!) he wore a 2-inch hole in his pants! I enjoyed talking to Mrs. Shaver, so we all had a great time. I told Jonathan later on that you cannot put a price on what we've been given here. To see Matthew playing in the neighborhood like this is such a joy!

We came home at 7pm, got some dinner and headed off to bed. JH had had some good study time while we were gone, the boys were “good tired”, and Matthew was in a great mood. It was so nice to have a pleasant afternoon/evening with him. My prayers for a lovely Sabbath were answered! Yea!
