Yard and new home

Expecting rain sometime today, we hit the yard as soon as Colson went down for his morning nap. The lawnmower had been broken for 2 weeks, so the yard was looking pretty ratty. I mowed while Jonathan edged, and we got it done pretty quickly. It looks SO much better now!

For a period of time today, Jonathan took Matthew over to the WFU library. JH spent time there researching our housing situation in Florida. We'd like to leave in about a month, but if we have nowhere to go, that kind of puts a chink in things. He re-contacted some folks he'd talked to in person on his last visit, so hopefully something will come of that...

Interesting note about today: My parents, some of the most ultra-conservative people that I know, went to a Jimmy Buffett concert tonight in Chicago (Dad won a trip). While it certainly isn't their usual scene, they had fun being out of town and handing out Christian tracts with a Parrot-head/Christian theme. It still cracks me up, thinking of them being there, in the midst of all the wild hoopla. Glad they had fun and got home safe the next day...
