Holding Fast

Took a gamble that no one would call for the house and went ahead out to run errands before tidying up. Glad I did-- got home with just enough time to feed Colson lunch, get him down for nap and get a bite for myself before Matthew got home.

Managed to work with Matthew to get his homework done and a casserole in the oven before heading out to Calvary. While we were gone, Jonathan did tons of yard and pool work. I missed my First Place class last week due to my trip to Matthews, so it was good to be back. Thankfully the Lord has helped me reach a big milestone in my weight-loss efforts this morning when I weighed in-- I have much hope for a healthy future. I just hope I don't get derailed this weekend!

While at Calvary I had the opportunity to talk to the wife of the gentleman I met in Wal-Mart yesterday. She'd sent me an email earlier in the day that added to my doubts about our future, although that wasn't her intent. I missed some of First Place class to talk to her, but I'm so glad I did. She reassured me that if it truly is God's will that we pursue this career change, he will provide a way for us. What we're doing might seem outlandish to some, but if it's God's plan, it's not outlandish at all. I just need to rest in the position I'm in now-- waiting on his timing. It's a scary place to be, but it's also very exciting. I'll try to focus on the "exciting" aspect of it!
